The instrument illustrated is inspired by an instrument built by Enrique Garcia. It is made from Brazilian rosewood, spruce and of course, is fitted with Rodgers tuners.
The instrument uses snakewood for the bindings and the headstock, and the rose is both Snakewood and black Brazilian rosewood.
The Machine Head is a 'Hauser' style of side-plate but have small polished 'scallops and nicks' instead of the standard polished chamfer. The side-plate material is of Sterling Silver and there is no engraving on the face of the plate. The plate surface was finished to a mat sheen to show the contrast of the polished edges. The buttons are of dark real mother-or-pearl.

I would like to introduce you to Aaron Green, a US luthier who has been a customer of ours for a year or so now. I think the easiest way for me to say more is to let Aaron continue so I will pass you over...
Aaron authors the following paragraphs.
I have been an active luthier for 10 years. I began by apprenticing
to Alan Carruth for 3 years before setting up my own shop.
My education as a classical and flamenco guitar builder continued by my association with many guitarists in Boston and New York, most notably with Dennis Koster, who has concertized and recorded on my guitars for the last 3 years. Currently I produce 12 instruments a year, of which most go to professional musicians in the New York area.
In 1999 I was commissioned by La Bella Strings to build a guitar to represent them. This guitar was completed in 2000 and is inspired by the Torres' guitar FE08. This instrument can soon be seen on the 2001 series string package.
As a builder I am comfortable using a variety of rosewoods for
the back and sides, although I am most partial to old Brazilian
rosewood. I build both spruce and cedar top instruments, and offer
different
models in both woods. I am very fond of Spanish Cypress and have
found
it to be a great wood for both flamenco and classical guitars.
I also
enjoy working with flamed maple. All my instruments are French
Polished,
which is, in my opinion, the most correct finish for the classical
and
flamenco guitar.
Each instrument I build is custom tailored to the specific needs
and requests of the guitarist that I build it for. In this I am
referring to sound, response, neck dimensions etc. I welcome aesthetic
input from the player, and employ a wide variety of aesthetics
from guitar to guitar. I am proud to offer my clients Rodgers'
machines, mechanically and aesthetically they are true works of
art.
